Qualifications of Dance Minister
To minister you must:
Present yourself as a holy sacrifice. Romans 12:1

Objectives:
Understand the scriptural basis for dance and the worship
arts.
Know the basic steps required to begin a dance ministry.
Recognize the characteristics of prospective members and leaders.
Determine how to select appropriate selections and a
basic repertoire for your proposed ministry members.
Types of Dance
Prophetic – Mind of God being communicated to his people.
Examples: Miriam crossing at the Red Sea. Judges 11:30
Travail – Act of faith believing God for his will. To travail
means to believe God will handle the situation and understand
there is not option but to trust in God.
Liturgical – A set way, order, and public rites of passage.
Public worship, communion. Root word liturgy.
Praise – To offer up a sacrifice of praise to God and to be
thankful for all he has done. Thanksgiving to God, the way we
respond to God. Praise is verbalized,

God for what he has done.
Worship – acknowledging God for who He is. Worship is
God receiving our praise. It is God’s invitation to us to be in
his presence. It is God’s response to us receiving our praise.
Worship is a spirit God receives.
Warfare – pull down strongholds through prayer and dance.
Hands pull down. Turns = Freeing and binding spirits. How
